"may 5th (lunar calendar), celebrate the dragon boat festival." the dragon boat festival is a traditional festival of the chinese nation. according to "continued qi harmony" and "jingchu sui shi ji", the dragon boat festival was combined with the commemoration of qu yuan after the wei, jin, southern and northern dynasties. this kind of folk custom has been continued in qu yuan's hometown to this day through setting up altars for worship, river tours, dragon boat races, zongzi expressing love, and "making a fuss" in the village, forming a tradition.
